Hi everyone!

I’m so happy to be here! My name is Christina Beauchamp and I am the girl behind the blog Fashion & Frills. A very big thanks to my sweet friend and blogging bestie Amanda for inviting me over to her (very fabulous!) corner of the internet.

With fall finally in full swing, I’m sure that I’m not the only one relishing the new-found chill in the air, the crunch of leaves beneath my boots and, of course, all the prints and patterns that the season has to offer! With everyone layering up for fall, there’s no better time to experiment with your printed pieces. Let your #ootd creativity shoot through the roof!

As a fashion blogger, I want to inspire ladies to make their closets their playground – fashion is supposed to be fabulously fun!

Without further ado, here are the 4 print mix pairings I’ve given a whirl so far this fall:

1.Classic Tartan + Stripe Combo

Ahhh… doesn’t this print pairing make you want to snuggle up fireside and breathe in crisp, fall air? Although this plaid button down is far from plain, pairing it with a striped turtleneck ups the fun-factor a bit and makes for an eye-catching combo. Layering is like the love language of your fall wardrobe. The more layers the better! So pull out your plaid and layer up with some stripes!

2.Plaid Poncho + Leopard Belt

Walk on the wild side and add a little leopard to your plaid to spice things up. Leopard is a neutral after all 🙂 This poncho has plaid print on one side and herringbone on the other – versatility at its finest!

3.Polka Dot Sweater + Striped Bag

Not ready to take the plunge by going print on print? No problemo. Take baby steps with accessories by incorporating printed bags, scarves, & belts. It’s a more subtle way to make a style statement with prints. This fall-hued, striped bag is the perfect complement to this plum, polka dot sweater. Print mixing can be super simple when you keep the color palette cohesive.

4.Geometric Monochrome Mix

Sometimes I pair prints on a whim (hey, when it works, it works!), but other times I style a look with a very specific intention in mind. Since bold geometric prints are trending this fall, I kept my look congruent by pairing 3 different graphic pieces, each with varying linear patterns. This poppy red clutch (that’s currently on sale!) added a punch of vibrancy to an otherwise monochrome look, but this geo cape was the true statement-maker! It stole the show.

So there you have it, 3 of my favorite fall print mix combinations! When you layer your prints and mix up your patterns, you get to explore all the variety that your closet has to offer! The options are endless. 🙂

Happy FriYAY,

Christina
