These tights can be a great look , but I find they sometimes be a crutch for wearing anything else ! Lovely selection of colors!

I am so so excited about this post! Mostly because I got to shoot in super colorful outfits and I get to partner with one of my absolute favorite legging brands- HUE! HUE has an amazing selection of leggings at Belk right now, and I want to show you how you can #ChooseColor and wear these leggings in a bright, bold, and beautiful way this Fall!

#ChooseColor

Let’s get back to the colorful outfits. I always love a good excuse to #ChooseColor. Wearing color dramatically increases my mood. I am sure there are tons of studies of how these two things affect each other (mood and color), but I can definitely attest that this is a fact: color makes me happy.

Color is also very attention grabbing. My eyes are immediately drawn to people I see in a bright color or wearing something bright and fun. You can definitely stand out in a crowd when wearing color.

Color gives me so much confidence. I think of grey and black as blending in and color as standing out. Wear a little color tomorrow and see what kind of confidence boost it gives you!

How to #ChooseColor

The Miller Affect talking about pops of color with HUE

Wearing color is a lot easier than you think!

  • Add a pop of color. This is a great start for all of you color beginners. Did you see this post? I talk about how you can add a pop of red to any outfit! Red isn’t the only color you can use for a pop. If you see my photos above I add a pop of pink, red, green, etc . Grab these ivory ribbed HUE leggings from Belk and pair them with a pop of color (dress, top, skirt, boots, etc!) Adding a pop is one of my favorite ways to #ChooseColor.
  • Create a monochrome look with your color. Monochrome is trending right now and one of the most fun ways to incorporate color into your wardrobe. With HUE leggings you can start with a pretty color (like my red look above) and then add a bunch of red shades to the look. The shades don’t even have to match- they just need to all be the same color! Wear dark red leggings with some bright red accessories! Get some more monochrome inspiration here.
  • Create a look using colorblocking. Colorblocking was huge last year during New York Fashion Week and I have no doubt it will be back again this Fall/Winter. I created the colorblocked look above using my favorite denim HUE leggings in Napa from Belk. It has a burgundy shade to it so I paired it with some of my other favorite burgundy pieces, but added the gorgeous teal sweater to complete the look. Not sure which colors can be colorblocked? Check out  Refinery29’s Guide to Colorblocking!
  • Lastly, be super creative and mix and match your color! This is so much fun to do! Just embrace color and wear it whichever way you want! Be yourself and be unique. I think mixing colors is the best way to really get a sense of someone’s personality!

HUE at Belk

Belk has an amazing selection of HUE products. Here are some detailed descriptions of the leggings I am wearing in the photos above:

-Denim. HUE has a great selection of denim leggings and you can find almost all of them at Belk. I am wearing the Essential Denim Leggings in Napa in the burgundy look above! I highly suggest getting these. They come in six colors and fit true to size! I am also a huge fan of these ripped leggings. They are super soft and comfortable and the frayed hem adds a super chic factor! I cannot wait to see how you #ChooseColor with either of these leggings!

-Tights. HUE has some of the best fitting tights I have ever owned and they have lasted over five years without ripping! For my colorful looks, I grabbed the Super Opaque Control Top Tights in Deep Red. I love wearing red in fall/winter so I was so excited to get these in! I have three other outfits I also wanted to show you wearing these red tights, but I will save them for another time! They look so cute with plaid and anything green you have as well! You could also wear them with a black or red dress when Christmas party season starts. The possibilities are endless with red!

I also grabbed some ribbed tights because I love the texture and how they look with shorts and skirts. The Classic Rib with Control Top Tights in the photos above are HUE from Belk and the color is Sand! Both tights are control top, so they hold everything in for you= yes please!

-Leather. I am always on the lookout for a great pair of leather leggings and finally found this amazing HUE pair from Belk! You just pull them on and go! Yes, you literally just pull them on!! They are so comfortable and will keep you warm this season. They are faux leather but look and feel so real! I am wearing the Leatherette Leggings in Black but immediately grabbed the Fawn pair as soon as I tried them on! I can’t wait for them to come in. I have been looking for a pair of brown leather leggings for so long.

-Loafers. These Windowpane Loafer Skimmers are menswear inspired-which is definitely trending! I had to have these classic leggings because I am all about a windowpane print and love the side slits at the ankle! You can wear these with pretty much anything but I added my usual pop of color ;). They also come in black and white and would look so great popped with a red sweater!

Leave a comment below with your favorite out of the five outfits from this post. That will also give me a great idea of how you guys #ChooseColor!
