SO EXCITED to finally reveal our outdoor space and furniture!
These spaces are our absolute favorite. Now we just need the mosquitoes to go away so we can sit outside and enjoy them.
Ballard Designs Outdoor Furniture
All of our furniture is from Ballard Designs. My sister and I spent so much time taking measurements and drawing out these spaces. We never imagined how beautiful it would all be once it came together!
Ballard Designs recently opened a beautiful store in Dallas. I have already been in there three times to grab more items for my kitchen and for this outdoor space. I could literally go to this amazing store every day! It wasn’t open when I bought the outdoor furniture so I just had to order it online and hope that everything I ordered came in one piece and looked the same as it did online.
I can 100% honestly say we did not have A SINGLE problem with ANYTHING we ordered!! Nothing had any faults, everything came with the correct assembly directions and materials, and everything was JUST as it appeared online. You can count on the best quality when you order from Ballard Designs.
Upstairs Master Balcony
Troy and I are so in love with our master balcony space. We can walk right outside from our bedroom and there is a spiral staircase that leads to the lower deck.
We wanted this space to feel super cozy since we knew we would spend the most time up there.
Our goal in the next month or two is to screen in this entire covered space so that we can enjoy it all year long (the mosquitoes are crazy here in Dallas!) There is already a ceiling fan up for the summertime, and we will add a heater for fall/winter.
The Nantucket swing is our favorite and we find ourselves swinging on it a lot already. I added the bistro table because I wanted to be able to work up there with a glass of wine (after the baby of course) or coffee.
We also added the couch and ottomans- those will be kept uncovered- for more seating space for perfect spring or fall days.

Wraparound Downstairs Porch
When you walk outside from the kitchen you have a pretty large wraparound balcony. Half of it is covered from the master balcony and faces the backyard, and then other half of the porch is uncovered and faces the pool (which is actually on the side of our home!)
We love having both!
The covered area comes with two large spaces and two ceiling fans for each space. In the area right outside the kitchen we have our outdoor dining table. Isn’t it beautiful? This is where we will be entertaining all of our guests for Thanksgiving! We plan on adding a grill and a buffet table next to the grill directly across from the table. The other large covered space is still empty. Any suggestions?
When you walk around the patio to the side of the house you will find a sofa and two chairs. I am sure this is where the adults will be sitting while the kids are playing in the pool! It is such a cozy space and I love that you have full sight of the entire pool area from here.

Beautiful! Love your balcony and porch. You have done a great job decorating. It looks so inviting. I’m sure there will be many nice gatherings with family and friends.
Ahhh so beautiful! Can’t wait til my house is finished being built (we haven’t even broken ground yet so frustrated with permits) so that I can get to decorating! Btw citronella candles have worked wonders for is in the past and some peppermint oil soaked balls work great for keeping those pesky mosquitos out too (if you need a temporary fix before the screens get installed).
It all looks beautiful! The porch swing is my favorite so far. I look forward to seeing updates as you add more, and the pool area too. 🙂
