So cute. What I will be doing on valentine’s day – taking care of a toddler and infant – fun stuff haha. but I know my husband and I will get a date night at some point in the coming year 🙂

Love your tips and I definitely agree with spending the day doing what your spouse enjoys. So many times my husband is along for the ride and participating in the things that I want to do, so switching it up is always a nice change of pace. 🙂 Enjoy NYFW! I’m so looking forward going some day and so happy that you have the opportunity to attend.

Amanda Miller wearing a red valentine's day slip dress from NordstromHappy February everyone! How cute is this red Valentine’s Day dress? I actually won’t be in town for Valentine’s Day, but if I was, I would be wearing this little number. My boyfriend only got to see the dress from afar (in photos), but he loved what he saw! The dress fits loosely, so anyone can wear it. I am wearing an XS and am 5’11, so please remember it will be a little longer on you! Which may be a good thing ;).

The perfect Red Valentine’s Day dress is always hard to find. But to find one under $50, like this one, is nearly impossible. I love all the possibilities of what you can wear with this red dress. You can wear any color of shoes you like, pair any clutch you want with it, and throw on whatever jewels you feel most comfortable with. I am definitely a leopard girl, so I was naturally drawn to this clutch when trying to put together this outfit.

On Valentine’s Day I will actually be in New York City for Fashion Week! I wanted to let you guys know that a few things will be changing this month for me. 1. I will only be posting on the blog a couple of times a week. This is just to ensure quality over quantity. I am so rushed to put a post together every night, that I feel like I am just spurting out words. I am not really thinking about what I am saying. 2. I will NOT be posting ANYTHING to the blog while I am away traveling. I will be gone the 12-24th, and I want to bring you along with me. Not on the blog, but on Instagram and Snapchat (themilleraffect). If you aren’t already following me on those channels, make sure you do now! I want it to be like you are actually on vacation with me. See backstage to the best shows, and see the best places in NYC, Paris and London!

Valentine’s Day is usually for us women, but I feel like it is a perfect time to show our men how much we love them. Here are some fun Valentine’s Day surprises for your man.

-Scavenger Hunt: even if it is just around your neighborhood. Go to places you love and leave sweet clues about why those places meant to much to you. You can have it take you to pre-dinner, dinner, post-dinner, and then a nightcap

-Get some new lingerie: This explains itself. If you need a little boost, get your man something he would NEVER expect to see you in.

-Take him to his favorite place, not yours. This just shows him you are willing to be selfless on the big day. This will go  A LONG WAY.

-Share his hobby. Does he play golf? Then go out to the course or to top golf together. Is there something else he loves to do? Find a way you two can enjoy it together..even if it means getting your butt on a bicycle or playing a video game!

-I never recommend going to a fancy dinner. You can do that anytime. Plus, you don’t want to have to fight through the crowds and eat from a set menu. Instead, cook something together that you have never tried before, play a card game, watch a comedy. Spend ACTUAL time together.

I know I promised to talk about what I learned about the conference I went to this past weekend, but I will be sharing that later this week along with an awesome collage tutorial! Don’t miss it!
