Day three was one of the BEST days I had during New York Fashion Week! I got to explore China Town, get my hair done by Aveda, go backstage for the Tibi show, sit front row at the Mara Hoffman Fashion Show and much more (coming tomorrow).

10am: Find Breakfast. We decided we wanted to head to the area where we would be getting our hair done and then find somewhere to eat. Big mistake. We ended up in an area in between Soho and China Town. I definitely didn’t want Chinese for breakfast, so we had to end up settling on what looked like a Waffle House type of place. It was mediocre, but it was across the street from the hair salon.
11am: Blowouts at Spoke & Weal. Aveda gave us backstage passes to the Tibi show and ALSO asked if we wanted to get our hair done sometime while we were in New York. Who can turn that down? I just had them blow it out and make it super messy looking. Unfortunately, with the cloudy weather all weekend, it fell pretty flat immediately. I still got a great blow out and a scalp and shoulder massage out of it!
12:30: Backstage at the Tibi Show. We went backstage to see what Aveda was doing to get the models ready for the show. We got to see all the clothes and of course go to see the models practicing. All the hair do’s were very simple. They had their hair down and had some old school clips in on either side that held the hair out of their face. It made the models look very young in my opinion (but they probably were). I posted a photo below. I don’t think I could pull it off. I am in LOVE with Tibi’s designs, so it was amazing to see the Spring/Summer 2016 clothes so close up. Did I mention we also got hand massages while we were back there there??
2pm: We got actual brunch (I didn’t consider breakfast real food) at an amazing place called Hudson Clearwater. If you are in New York City you should definitely check this place out. It was absolutely amazing and they had the cutest patio area in the back.
3 pm: The Mara Hoffman show. Ok, now this part is funny. I originally only had standing room for the Mara Hoffman show. I thought that meant we would be able to still get in, but stand in the back, so I bought this AMAZING dress just for the show. When I got there, they ended up printing out a ticket that had a seat on it. My other friends went to get in the standing room line while I went inside by myself to find my seat. I thought I had a seat because I was wearing one of her designs. Not only did I have a seat, but I had a seat on the FRONT ROW. I was thoroughly enjoying myself while talking to a Saks buyer on one side and a Zappos buyer on the other when someone tapped on my shoulder. It turns out there was someone else named Amanda Miller, who was a buyer for Saks, and I had taken her seat. She was super nice though and let me stay. My friends in the standing room line didn’t even end up getting in! I was a little embarrassed, but shrugged it off and enjoyed the show. Here are some photos, but you can see the full line-up on my Instagram (I posted a video of the show <3).
