With the fall season upon us, I’ve been making a few fall updates throughout our house! I always like to put out the typical fall decor–pumpkins, fall leaves, etc., but I also always make sure to add different cozy elements and textures to our home to make everything truly feel ready for the chilly new season.
This year, I’m giving our guest room a little refresh and adding some cozy pieces. As we all know, home door can get pricey so I turned to Walmart to furnish our updated guest room and I found some amazing pieces! I’m going for a rustic vibe that kind of feels like a chic ski resort, and I found the perfect items to accomplish this look. As the holiday season quickly approaches, we’ll definitely be having more guests than usual, so I wanted to refresh this space to make my guests feel super comfortable, cozy, and at home. I’m super excited to show you the completed guest room in today’s post!
First things first, I have to share all of the pieces I grabbed from Walmart to complete our updated guest room. Don’t sleep on Walmart home decor, you guys! They have so many super cute pieces at such a good price. I love that I can create the visions I have for the house and not have to spend insane amounts of money.
Some of my favorite Walmart Home pieces I snagged:
Wood Nightstand: This $131 nightstand is rustic feeling but still modern and chic, and it was exactly what I was looking for to freshen things up. It’s a simple design that works in virtually any bedroom space and I knew I’d be able to style them so many different ways! I got them in the “Mango Brown” color, but there are two other beautiful colors to choose from, too.
Faux Fur Blanket: The key to making a room feel more cozy is to add different textures throughout it. The fuax fur of this blanket was a step up from the traditional throw blanket, which instantly added a warm and welcoming vibe to the entire space. This blanket is such a great price for the value.
Wood Tray: I’ve found that mixing different types of wood in a space definitely makes it feel warmer and more fall-like. After I snagged the wood nightstands, I knew I wanted to add more subtle, wooden elements in the room to complete the look. This wood tray is exactly what I was looking for! I love it for its ability to be styled endless amounts of ways, adding whatever decor I’d like to match the rest of the room. It’s under $13 and a total find!
I’m absolutely loving everything I found from Walmart to update the space and the final result is exactly what I envisioned. Shop everything I used to update the guest room below, and let me know what other spaces of the home you’d like me to show decor for! Can’t wait to enjoy the fall season with you!
