LOVING this look on you, all of it! I wore something sort of similar the other day (but not as rad, obvs.). Love the sunnies, too!

I love reading honest, true & personal stories and especially about you because I’m nosy when it comes to you and your life! If only Dallas were Phoenix or Tucson 😉 then we’d exchange stories all the time. What’s on my mind after reading your post…well I was also in an accident once but not bad at all. A woman swiped the side of the car as I was backing out of the Target parking lot and my brother was sitting out that window with his window down and arms out. I was just thankful nothing had happened to him. Definitely glad he was okay because I was most worried about this terrible driver of a woman hitting him. Anyway, I like the fact that you wrote a personal story and wanted to hear our thoughts after it…because after sharing something like that that has left its mark on you, it’s important to have others share their story as well. Also, you are right NO ONE is perfect and anyone who thinks they are is a fool. Loved today’s post so much! xx

Love that you are so transparent about your scars! You’re so beautiful inside and out! I agree – no need for photoshop!! <3 Also, I find myself wearing a ton of black and white to work – on my blog, though, that's another story! haha

Haha isn’t it funny how we do that!? When really most people probably want to see black and what because it is so universal! We need to do a survey for colors 🙂

I love love love your hair straight!
This post also reminds me of my stepsister, who has epilepsy.
Once day she was curling her hair for school and she had a seizure and her leg landed on top of the iron! She ended up with a very bad burn that will always be there with her. But she’s lucky she’s alive for one, and now she’s grateful because she always sparks conversations with people when they ask what happened!
I love your story, and as usual, your outfit! <3

Love that fringe top! Also, kudos to you for being authentic and owning up to your scars. We live in a world where it’s easy to just edit out those parts of our lives (especially as bloggers!) but being authentic is so much more appealing in the long run.

I think that scar is a good reminder of how short life can be, and how you have to live it to the fullest, and dress your best, which you already do!

They say that a car accident no matter the size always affects you. You can’t even notice the scars. Love this look on you!.

Love your black fringe top!! It is so chic. Also, I never even noticed your scars until you pointed them out on that post a while back. Even then, I didn’t notice them today until I scrolled back up after you mentioned them. You’re beautiful!

I have had wayy too much pink on the blog lately! I have always been a minimal, black and white kinda gal, so I am not sure where all the colors came from. It is good to mix it up every once in awhile, but this week I am going back to my roots (starting with this amazing Fourmi fringe top)!

Ok, so I wear tons of black and white. I especially love wearing black and white to work (as you have probably seen on my Instagram). This Fourmi fringe top is going to look so amazing with a pencil skirt or some dress pants!!! It is a nice, thick material and the quality of the fringe is amazing. I haven’t shopped at Fourmi before (I am always nervous to try out new places), but I am sooo excited about it now! Their clothes are very contemporary and different.

So, this week I am going to share some fun facts about me. Since my scars are pretty noticeable in these images, I am going to start with that story. When I was 15 I was in a horrible car accident. No one died, but we were all pretty injured and my younger sister had to be life-flighted. We were in the hospital for a couple of weeks. I was in the passenger seat. I broke my leg and was cut up pretty badly everywhere. If you look at my right thigh or my left shin, you will definitely notice a few of the scars (they also are on my knees, elbows, and all over on my arms). I was embarrassed of them for a long time, until I finally just gave in to them and now I own them with confidence. No one is perfect, and I will never photoshop anything on my body. We all have things we are insecure of. When you can learn to love those things and be grateful for what you do have, your life will change!

Please leave a comment with what is on your mind after reading this post. I would love to know that you were here and hopefully my words have affected you in some way.
