So excited to be doing a new retailer spotlight on here (it has been forever). Today I want to tell you all about a relatively new brand called Alex Mill.

Some of you may have been shopping at Alex Mill for the past 6-7 years, but most of you have probably never heard of the brand. Let me take you back to the beginning: Alex Mill was founded as a menswear brand by Alex Drexler in 2012. This past February they added women’s to mix under the creative direction of Somsack Sikhounmuong, former design director of J.Crew and previously Madewell (remember when you suddenly wanted everything from Madewell? That was probably when Somsack took over). Alex’s father, Millard “Mickey” Drexler, former CEO of J.Crew and Gap serves as a strategic advisor for the brand. Needless to say, there is a lot of talent within this company. Needless to say, there is a lot of talent within this company.

Alex Mill has one goal- they don’t want you to have to buy MORE CLOTHES, they want you to buy THE RIGHT CLOTHES that never go out of style.

Alex Mill is all about creating iconic pieces. Why do trendy when you can do timeless? Take this white shirttail tunic. You will get hundreds of wears out of it. You can pair it with skirts, shorts, leggings, jeans, etc. The possibilities are endless. Wear it open, buttoned-up, around your waist. There are so many ways to style it. Instead of buying a bunch of white tops, why not spend $100 on something you will have forever and can wear with everything?

When they reached out about a possible collaboration, I HAD to have this cotton midi skirt. It is such a classic piece. The buttons going up the side just add a slight touch of flair. I cannot wait to wear it this summer with an oversized navy and white stripe top! I just love the effortless, casual-cool vibe of this brand.
