Who doesn’t like to be introduced to new clothing stores?!!?

Sometimes I like to introduce new stores that I love, but that you may have never heard of (see an example HERE). Today, I want to tell you all about J.McLaughlin.

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting an amazing J.McLaughlin dinner event with MACKENZIE and ALI. We had so much fun! J.McLaughlin is all about color, so naturally the mood of the event was happy, bright, and cheerful!

A quick history lesson: J.McLaughlin first opened their first store in Manhattan’s Upper East Side in 1977. Their pieces are classic and timeless (think All-American). They make me think of being in a harbor, on a yacht, drinking champagne.. and who doesn’t love that feeling?

Mackenzie, Ali, and I got to invite some of our closest friends for a peek at the Summer collection in their Preston Center store, and then we had some amazing dinner and Rose at Bistro 31 in Highland Park Village. If you haven’t stopped by their store, make sure to head there ASAP!

For the event, I picked out a plaid, crinkled button-up and some navy scalloped shorts. This lightweight top will be something I can wear all year long and it is super soft! Other Items: Straw Clutch, Rope Belt (sold out but very similar HERE).

See the photos below for more pieces from J.McLaughlin worn by the other attendees! From top to bottom in order of appearance: Ali Schilling, Mackenzie Horan, Chandler H, Christina Beauchamp, Lynlee Poston, Krystal Schlegel, Amy Havins

We were all in charge of bringing two other bloggers to the event. I had to invite three! These are my girls: Christina, Lynlee && Brooke Burnett.

All in all, it was an amazing night at J.McLaughlin. I cannot wait to get back to the store. Everyone was so nice, and it was wonderful hearing how long all of the employees had been with the company. That speaks for itself!

I also loved meeting and getting to know the other bloggers that came to the event! Here is a group photo:

You can shop ALL of the outfits at J.McLaughlin now!!
