Hi!! I like how you removed the background from the photo in this tutorial. I’ve been using Insta Alpha in keynote to remove the background in my photos for collages. I will have to give this a try!

Thank you so much for sharing this! This was extremely helpful. I would love for your next “blogging tips” post to be about the top 5 ways you create traffic for your blog. I know that commenting on other peoples blogs helps as well as collaborations, but it would be wonderful to see what major techniques led to your own personal success. I started my blog in November of 2015 and have seen some growth each week but am not sure if I am doing all that I can do since I am so new to the business of blogging.

P.S. I would love to learn more about your pricing for collaborations however I would not expect you to publish that information ha-ha nor consider that request! LOL

Love reading your blog though! Even though I am a blogger myself you are certainly one of the blogs that I follow frequently and aspire to be. I admire the high quality and diversity of your posts. I also enjoy all of the outfits you come up with!

Hey Paula! I am sooo glad you enjoyed this. I am going to try to do a couple of these tutorials each month so I will definitely keep those in mind. Building your traffic takes some serious time, and I am still working on this myself! I think a blog post on it is a great idea though!

I would also feel fine giving the price of my collaborations, but I am not really sure how that would help people. I really have no rhyme or reason to why I charge. I base it on a lot of things! Instead of just saying what I charge, it may be more helpful to give instructions on what to consider and think about when pricing out your collaborations.

You have no idea how much that means to me that you read my blog and give me these sweet comments! Sometimes, I just want to be like “hello, is anyone out there”? So it is so nice to know I have some continuous readers on here that enjoy my contect 🙂 <3

I am so lucky to have tons of bloggers read my site, and one of my favorite things to hear from you guys is that you have learned a lot from my blogging tips! I have received tons of questions already on my collages. I have already done a collage post for beginners here, so this would be for the intermediate blogger. Today I will be teaching you exactly how to make a collage using Keynote, so that your collages can look just as clean and professional as mine!1. Save Your Photos. You need to try to find photos of products that have a white background. It is usually easy to find when you have rewardStyle, but not always. You can get rid of a lot of backgrounds, but they need to be all one color. I usually save all of my products into one folder on my desktop so that they are in the same place when I am ready.

2. Get Rid of the Background. You need to get rid of the background on ALL of your photos, in order to fit more on each collage. If you don’t, they will overlap and cut each other off and you won’t able to get many products in there at all. Start by opening each photo individually on your mac.

a. Hit the suitcase to edit the photo (highlighted in blue).

b. Then hit the wand in the upper left (highlighted in blue).

c. Now you need to drag the wand through the white parts of the photo. Once the part you want to remove is highlighted in red or blue, you can hit DELETE. This will pop up, and you will hit Convert.

d. After you are done erasing the white, your photo will look like this! Then you can just close out of the photo (it should automatically save). Once all your photos look like this, you are ready to go!

3. Open Keynote. You need a Mac for this, and it may have to be a newer version. If you don’t have it on your Mac, you can buy it in you app store.

a. I always choose the white presentation theme, and when I open it I delete all of the text boxes, so that I have a blank space to work with. Also, if you click the paintbrush, you will also hide the page layout tab (you won’t need this).

4. Now you are ready to drag and drop. I drag all my photos that I just edited into the white slide. Make sure to size depending on how many you are wanting to fit! It make take some maneuvering, but you can put your photos all in a row, or allow some room for comments & arrows. Here is one I did the other day, just by dragging and dropping the photos into the slide (keep reading for comments and arrow training)!

5. After you drag and drop to fit the size of the photo you want, you are ready for comments, numbers, and arrows. I always leave a little room for comments, because you can talk about what you love from each item! I also like to number them, so I can reference to numbers in my posts!

a. The text tab is located at the top of Key Note. It will add a text box to the middle of your slide. I usually drag it to the outside so I can see it, and edit it.

b. Type what you want to say, and then edit the text using the paintbrush (text must be highlighted). You can then change the font and decrease/increase the font size. You can easily add all your numbers doing this as well, and just copying and pasting each number!

c. Now you can add your arrows (this part takes the longest for me). When you click SHAPE (green box) at the top of Keynote, you can see a bunch of shapes of arrows. I use the straight line AND the curved line. The straight arrow is self explanatory, so I will teach you what to do with the curved line. When you click on the curved line, it gives you a big curve like the one below.

d. You can drag the green dot around to play with the shape of the curve.

e. You can drag the white squares to make the curve smaller. At this point, I would make sure the curve is exactly where I want it on the collage.

f. Now that you have your shape, you will want to get the actual arrow on your curve. Click Shape again, and then hit the straight arrow.

f. Now, you will want to make the arrow as small as possible by dragging the white squares, and then maneuver it to attach to the end of your curve!

Hopefully you are now a PRO and know exactly how to make a collage using Keynote! Here are a few I have done below for examples. Please let me know if you have any questions! I promise that this gets easier and easier as you go. I can now do one of these in less than 15 minutes if I want!

Photoshop is also a great platform for collages, but we will get to that later :).

You can shop all of these collages HERE.

Thank you to Bridget from the blog Being Bridget for teaching me how to make these collages!
