Hi Amanda, though I do not comment often I love your blog and style. Thanks for the update and huge congrats on your new job. The chopped hair looks great too. I love your maxi dress. Your sandals are the perfect black sandals too. And that is the perfect neutral hat with black ribbon – looking for one just like it.

Welcome by sometimes. Thanks, Ada. =)

Old Navy Maxi Dress

How was everyone’s weekend? My weekend was packed full of life-changing stuff and I cannot wait to share it with you guys!

On Friday I accepted an offer with a new job and put in my two weeks notice at my current job. For those of you who don’t know, I am a Treasury Analyst for an oil & gas company here in Dallas. I took a job doing the same thing, but with much more responsibility. I am going from a huge company where there are eight of us, to a very small company where I will be the only one! Putting in your two weeks notice to a boss you love working for is very tough. I was a nervous wreck., but in the long run everyone was happy for me! I am so ready to start my next adventure on July 8th (I will keep you updated). What this means for you: my dress code is going from casual (jeans and a tee shirt) to business casual (skirts, dresses, slacks)! I will get to post much more day-to-day work attire! Hopefully one day soon I can blog full-time, but I have only been doing this for six months, so it will take some time to get there!

On Sunday I went with family to see Dr. Tony Evans (a famous pastor) here in Dallas. He lead the service at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and OMG it was such an amazing thing to experience. I nearly cried three times and had goosebumps the entire time. It was like he was speaking right to me.  If you are ever in Dallas, this is something you have to witness. The choir and the congregation are so welcoming and I will definitely be back!

After church everything was at least a two hour wait so we decided to do a little shopping! I found this amazing Old Navy maxi dress for under $30 and I am so in love! Make sure to hurry and grab it for summer!

Happy Father’s Day Dad, I love you <3
