Whew, I am so happy to be home!

Not that I didn’t have an amazing time in NYC, but Fashion Week is definitely exhausting, and seven days away from home can take its toll!

Fashion Week isn’t all about trying to find the most expensive clothes to show off. It is about finding pieces here and there (no matter the cost) and putting them together in a way no one else would think of!

Pleats for Fall

I knew pleats would be a huge trend for Fall, and yes, I saw sooo many pleats during Fashion Week. I am so glad I picked up this white pleated dress to wear on day 2! Best part: the dress is only $62!

Once I had the pleated dress, I knew any kind of boots would match. I browsed the same site I bought the dress on and found these gorgeous embroidered floral booties!

The Outfit:

White Pleated Dressed  (tts, I am wearing a size 2)

Embroidered Booties (fit true to size)

Leather Moto Jacket (less expensive version HERE)

Chloe Handbag

Karen Walker Sunglasses

Lace Choker

‘#43 La Favorite’ Lipstick (less expensive version HERE)

NYFW DAY 2

Things are going to be a bit out of order, as I am posting the outfits I am getting from my photographer rather than posting the outfits I wore Day 1-6. This outfit was worn on Day 2, so I will talk a bit about what happened on Day 2 of NYFW!

From 10am-1pm I had a hair appointment at Fourteen Jay, an Aveda salon. I am so obsessed with the staff at this salon and they are truly experts at what they do. I come here every fashion week, and I even book appointments with them ANY TIME I am in NYC! They gave me a few new caramel highlights for Fall/Winter, and then they had about 20 min to throw this awesome messy bun together! I could wear my hair like this every day.

After hair I had to quickly run across town to meet with Eliza J at 2pm. I met their designers and PR team in their NYC showroom and got to see the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. I am soooo excited about it!! Everything was beautiful! I left there with a bag of goodies that will be up on the blog soon!

After Eliza J, I ran back to my hotel at The New York Edition to shoot the photos above with Megan Weaver at 3:20 pm. It was so great having a Dallas photographer in NYC! All of the photos you see on the blog were taken by her!

-A little about The Edition Hotel: I checked in behind Jessica Alba, and Sage and Kristen got to ride the elevator up with DAVID BECKHAM!! Needless to say, it was the place to be during NYFW! Thanks so much to Strong Travel for recommending such an amazing hotel for us!

After photos I ran over to the Bollare Showroom for a meeting at 4pm. Unfortunately, everything runs a bit late during FW and I missed my appointment! Luckily the PR firm is so great that I am able to still pick some goodies from home (they probably wouldn’t have fit in my suitcase anyway)!

At 5:30pm I had the most amazing dinner with Sole Society and Arcona! The food and company were both amazing! I have been working with Sole Society for awhile now because I looove their shoes, so it is always nice to meet up when we are in the same area. If you are ever in NYC, make sure to go to Gallow Green!! The atmosphere and view are both breathtaking!

After dinner we all piled up in an uber and went to the Tadashi Shoji Runway Show at 8pm. You probably saw the show on my Instagram Stories, but it was beautiful! See what I saw by heading to TadashiShoji.com!

Talk about total exhaustion. I hit the pillow as soon as I was home!

Things I missed: Vogue Party (it was either Tadashi Show or Vogue party, but I was excited to see the Sole Society shoes on the Tadashi runway so I went to that instead of the party!) Nicole Miller (she always has an amazing show, but I am all about personal connections so skipped the show for my Sole Society Dinner!)
