First Look in Canmore, Canada

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

1st make sure you saw our GETTING READY photos so that you can keep going on this wedding timeline I am laying out for you!

We got married in Canmore, Canada and did all of our first look there. My sister (who was also my photographer) got together with our videographer and checked out a bunch of spots throughout the weekend so that we could already have these places set on our wedding day! They did such an amazing job.

Our very first look was in a forest with moss everywhere. It was like a fairy tale (except that I was actually getting eaten alive by all sorts of bugs out there!)

My wedding shoes are shown in the photo but I wore some older pumps under the dress to avoid them getting grass stains in the moss.

I was standing there waiting while Troy crept up around me in the moss. We got to see each other’s faces at the same time. It was one of the most special moments of my life! We were both shaking from nerves, haha! So cute!

After the mossy forest we stood on these beautiful rocks and got an amazing shot with the mountains and lake behind us. I could have stood up there forever with him!

Lastly, we found a spot to park along one of the lakes and just walked the shore. We got to play around and relax and just talk to each other for the first time that day. It was such an important thing for us to be able to do before we headed to the ceremony! We didn’t get much alone time after that!

All in all I am so incredibly glad that we took these first look photos. They turned out so gorgeous and I loved sharing some private moments with him before the madness began!

I definitely recommend doing a first look guys! I always thought I would NEVER do it and that I wanted it to be traditional, but then we would have missed out on all of the photos that we get to keep for a lifetime. It was also a great opportunity for us to spend time together and shake out our nerves before the ceremony!
