I love that overalls are making a huge comeback. When my friend Rachel Tindell started an online boutique called Heaven & Helfyre, these definitely were the first thing to catch me eye! She has always had a bohemian look to everything she wears and her confidence has always impressed me. I love boutiques and wanted to bring her on The Miller Affect for a quick Q&A so that you could get to know her and her new online boutique!
Me: What made you want to start your own online boutique?
Rachel: Fashion is something that I live for and after my husband left his job last October we thought there was no better time than the present!
Me: What is your favorite thing about starting your own business?
Rachel: My favorite thing is discovering new brands and the whole buying process! Finding fabulous items that I can then help get out to the masses.
me: Who are your style icons?
Rachel: Always and forever Olivia Palermo. She just has that thing. She always looks perfect and can accessorize with the best of them. then there are my bohemian style icons like Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller and Rachel Zoe.
Me: What is your go-to outfit?
Rachel: I love a maxi dress with wedges or sandals, a floppy hat and lots of silver or gold jewelry.
Me: Favorite store to shop online?
Rachel: I love to shop at Planet Blue, Nasty Gal, Free People and Revolve Clothing.
Me: Favorite Hobby?
Rachel: Shopping, reading books and magazines on fashion, and I love a good hike.
Me: Best piece of advice for people wanting to start their own business?
Rachel: I’m still pretty new to it but in my case we just jumped in. You may want to have an idea and a few thousand dollars saved to get started.
Me: Favorite trend heading into Summer?
Rachel: As a bohemian at heart I just love that the 70’s are back in a big way. High waisted, flared denim, flowy crop tops, platforms and maxi dresses. I love it all!
