Woohoooooo another work wear post! It has been way too long. I always get so much amazing feedback from you guys about my work wear posts and some of you have been asking for me to do more posts showing how clothes can be worn in a more casual work setting.
So excited to be working with LOFT again to show you my favorite trousers worn two ways.
When most people think of the word trouser they associate it with work attire. Yes, trousers are great to wear to work, but they can also be worn casually!
Business Professional Trousers:
I paired these LOFT trousers with this black chiffon top and these black pumps for a more business professional work setting. When I worked in finance I wore trousers like these nearly every single day. I loved being able to mix and match them with different tops to create easy, effortless work looks. Our dress code was business professional.
It was hot when I shot this, but most business professional companies do require you to wear a blazer as well. You can find a matching one here.
Even though it looks dressier, it is still SUPER comfortable. See more on the fit of the pants below!
You can also always wear these trousers in a business casual setting. I made these LOFT trousers look a little more casual with a denim jacket, scarf, leopard pumps, and a billowy top! They also look great with sneakers and a tee shirt (I promise, I have tried it!)

Trousers in Marisa Fit vs Julie Fit:
Find your trouser fit at LOFT and you will never need to look elsewhere for pants. LOFT has a huge selection of trousers in all different colors and fabrics. You just need to find your size, fit, and length. After that you will be in pant wonderland like I have been for these past five years+!! It just makes pant shopping so extremely easy!
Julie Fit– For those of you that are a little curvier at the waist.
Marisa Fit– For those of you who have hips that are proportionate to your waist. Do you have more of a straight figure? These pants are best for you!
Both- Some people like to try both, but just know that you may wear different sizes in each. I have pants in both fits that I love! Just depends on what I am looking for at the time.
Size– I always go down ONE SIZE at LOFT!
Length– I am almost 5’11 and the TALL is long enough for me. I would say if you are 5’9 or taller then you should go with a TALL in the trouser pant. Better to have them too long and hem them up a little than have them come in too short. They have a wide hem at the bottom which makes a slight adjustment super easy and affordable. If you are 5’8 or shorter then I would go with the regular or petite! Make sure to look at the Size Guide before you order to confirm your length!
I would suggest ordering a few pairs, with different sizes and different fits! You can return to the store for free or you can use the prepaid return label that your order is shipped with!
These specific trousers are some of the comfiest I have owned. They have a wide waistband which makes them so easy to sit down in all day. They are also really soft and have a great custom stretch to them that allows them to move with you. These are all crucial details when you work eight hours a day in an office!
Here are more trousers I love from LOFT:
