Yay, another Monday, another week of fun blog posts!
Today I want to talk about our stay in Healdsburg, CA. Most of you knew I was in the Napa region last week, but what you didn’t know was that I actually spent the majority of my time in either Healdsburg or Sonoma.
Napa has become very touristy, which makes it hard to get around, very crowded, and nearly impossible to get a table anywhere at.
Healdsburg and Sonoma are around the corner and much more chill. They both have super cute town squares and a lot of history. They also both have great restaurants and wineries.
Why You Should Stay in Healdsburg
Healdsburg is about forty minutes away from Sonoma and a little over an hour away from Napa.
It is a super cute small town with a super cute town square. They are so many shops and wineries in the area.
It was very chill and was so easy to get in and out of (hardly any traffic!) The wineries were all very close and some we could even walk to.
It was easy to get reservations everywhere and we never had a bad meal while we were there.
Where To Stay in Healdsburg- 235 Suites:
We stayed at 235 Suites and LOVED IT! It is located right in the town square and is walking distance to everything.
All of the suites have three separate bedrooms so it is really great to reserve for a group or family trip. The rooms are super comfortable and luxurious and you won’t regret staying in any of the four suites. Oh, and they also host a lot of wedding groups! You can reserve all four rooms for you and your family/friends!
You can find California king beds in every room along with flat screen tvs at the end of each bed (the kind that comes up when you press a button-so cool!)
They come equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and coffee pods. You can grab a cup and sit out on the porch each morning.
Best news? Housekeeping comes every day for turn down service! In most places like these you don’t get housekeeping!
La Crema is actually right underneath the suites so you can book a wine tasting there before you head out for the day or before you head to dinner one night.
My favorite thing about 235 Suites is the location. We walked to everything! We went shopping one afternoon and everything was so close. There is a cute park around the corner and you can walk to all of the restaurants in Healdsburg.
235 Suites books up each week, so make sure to book your reservation now! Head here to reserve your suite, or head here if you want to see some photos and learn more about this boutique hotel.

We flew into San Fransisco from Dallas because it was muchhhh cheaper than flying anywhere closer! We left the airport around noon and stopped for a quick photo opp at the Golden Gate Bridge. We got lucky (from what I hear) and there wasn’t any fog around! It was so amazing to FINALLY see! I had no idea the water in the Bay was such a pretty color!

Once we were checked in to 235 Suites we immediately got ready to head to our first wine tasting at Bella Wine Caves. It was such a cute spot and the Rosé was delicious (my favorite Rosé from the entire trip!)

After Bella Wine Caves we went back to the Suites to get ready for dinner. We were soooo hungry by this time so we were so glad to get a reservation at Bravas. It is Spanish tapas and so so good! I definitely recommend getting the paella, but make sure to order it as soon as you sit down! They had a great watermelon drink as well that we loved.

That next morning we stopped to grab breakfast before heading to Sonoma. Our first stop in Sonoma was Viansa. It was definitely one of our favorite spots. They have these wooden lookouts that you can have your tastings at and the scenery is so gorgeous. Definitely a must see if you are in the area. Special thanks to Cadillac for hooking us up with a car for the trip!

After Viansa we ran into town for lunch at the Girl & the Fig. Thank you so much for the recommendation! Probably the best charcuterie board I have ever had! Our next tasting was at Benzinger. We wish we had more time to explore the property! I grabbed this shot outside the winery which shows you how beautiful the landscaping was! We got there around 4:30 and they stop pouring wine everywhere in the region at 5. We will definitely have to go back there next time to explore the property. It was massive and there was so much to see!

On Friday night we had dinner at Willi’s Seafood, which was my favorite restaurant of the trip. Make sure to order their tuna ANYTHING! So fresh and tasty! Again, all of these dinner spots were walking distance from 235 Suites!

Saturday was crazy. We did wayyy to many wine tastings, but we had a lot of fun! We started the day at J Winery. They have a gorgeous bubble room but we asked to sit outside on the terrace. They have so many different tasting options to choose from, but since it was pretty early in the day we went with their bubble tasting. Everything was delicious! We may even order some bottles from them. Apparently you can also find their champagne here in Dallas.

After bubbles we went to MacRostie. They had the BEST greeting and really made us feel welcome. They welcome all of their guests by walking up to them and immediately handing them some wine. The venue is so cool and we got to sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view. The manager and the girl taking care of us definitely left a great impression and I would highly recommend making a stop there if in the area! This is where we all ended up buying wine to take home.
Black Smock Dress I Gold Sphere Handbag I Gold Sandals (old, similar here), Gold Earrings
Our last stops were Landmark Winery and Arista. Landmark was in this really cool old cabin-like building where they used to make hops. Landmark is widely available in TX so I have had it a bunch! Very delicious! The first chardonnay I have every tried and actually liked. Arista was in a pretty small venue but the wine was amazing and they had a cool Japanese garden in the back you could walk through. Let’s just say there was no going out after all of that! I was in for the night and Troy had to bring me dinner haha! Soooo I guess that is what those spit barrels are for at the tastings…
LOFT dress (on clearance for $32) I Miller Sandals I Cognac Tote (reversible)
All in all it was such a good trip. Staying at 235 Suites definitely made the trip better since it was so central which made it easy to get around everywhere!
