When packing for Palm Springs I wanted to make sure all of my outfits went with the scenery & weather there.
Tip: not so hard to do. You will find everything in Palm Springs. You are out in the desert so there are tons of palm trees and cacti, but you will also find so many colorful buildings around every corner. You will also find super hot days but sometimes kinda cool nights.
Right before I left, Ann Taylor came out with a bunch of new arrivals that I just had to have for my trip! I can’t wait to show you their amazing new prints and pants (all shot in Palm Springs.)
Prints, Pants, and Palm Springs with Ann Taylor
Prints:
Ann Taylor came out with this amazing palm print last summer (see the print here.) I was prepared for the same print to come back because it did so well, but the new prints they came out with ended up being even more stunning:
The palm maxi skirt that I am wearing in the photos above is definitely my favorite piece from the new collection. It is so pretty on and moves so well. I love that it comes with a tie so you don’t have to wear a shirt tucked into the skirt. You can wear it over the skirt and then use the tie around your waist (so cute)! I am wearing a regular, but only because Ann Taylor doesn’t carry tall sizes in store. I would have definitely grabbed this in a tall if I could have since I am 5’11!
I wanted this print in the pant version as well, but they do not carry the pants in a size tall. If you can wear these and they will be long enough, PLEASE GRAB THEM! I am so in love with them!
Pants:
The new Montauk Pant is to die for. I had to get a size down from what I normally buy there. I am wearing a 0 here when I normally wear a 2. They are 97% cotton and 3% spandex which gives us that little bit of stretch we all love. I wish I could describe how insanely comfortable these chino pants are. I could sleep in them basically! They come in four other colors and I am thinking the navy needs to be in my closet as well!
I paired my Montauk Pant with an adorable ruffle palm print top. It is 100% polyester so you can imagine how soft it is. The flirty ruffle hem and neck tie gives it a little edge to your normal work wear top.
You could wear both of these looks to work. Just change out the one-shoulder top for one a little more work appropriate (or put a cardigan over it!)
Summer Sandals:
I wanted to make sure I highlighted how cute the sandals are at Ann Taylor right now! These hot pink slides were worn about five times while I was in Palm Springs. They went with everything and brought a pop of color to each outfit. They are also super comfortable. They come in multiple colors if you aren’t a pink person!
I also love these olive sandals. Why does olive always become popular at the beginning of summer? Seems like such a fall color to me, but I am happy about it regardless! These sandals were worn twice while I was in Palm Springs, but that is mostly because I wore a lot of color to match my surroundings! I am sure they will get much more use now that I am back home.
Palm Springs:
I thought the background of the street around our home was a perfect backdrop for The Montauk Pant. There were so many fun houses and places to shoot around every corner. The colors of the desert went perfectly with the palm print and of course the olive colored pants.
We went to The Saguaro hotel for the backdrop of my palm print maxi skirt. Did you see my fun sandal shot on Instagram? Everything about this hotel was amazing. The inside had neon lights everywhere and the outside had just about every color imaginable. It is definitely a color-lover’s paradise. I may just have to stay here during my next visit! I heard they throw some pretty fun pool parties ;).

Those pink slides are everything!
Aren’t they amazing? I think I need them in every color haha they are so comfy too! Thanks so much for commenting! xoxo A
I’m loving all the prints, a lot of designers are starting to come back to more ostentatious prints that remind me of the 70’s. Where are those sunglasses from? 🙂
They are vera wang with the palm print skirt and ray ban for the palm print top!
