Fall and Spring are my two favorite times of the year to get outside. If you feel ‘stuck’ inside right now, you shouldn’t! I guarantee there are PLENTY of places around your home that you go to to get outdoors.
Troy and I frequently find ourselves getting lost around here on purpose. We like to head up a mountain nearby and stop at all of the lookouts. Most of the lookout points here have maps so you can see all of the trailheads around the area.
Get Lost this Fall
Recently we found Windy Saddle Lookout Mountain Trail which is a 4 mile hike on Lookout Mountain in Golden, but you can walk as long as you wish before heading back. The views are stunning the entire way through! We didn’t have Miller’s carrier with us at the time but got plenty of pictures at the start of the trail. Now we know where to go when we want to hike again!
Per usual, I am hiking in head to toe Backcountry. When I plan on doing anything outdoors I always head to Backcountry to shop. It is just so easy to find everything you need from shoes and beanies to hiking poles and tents. They also carry the latest styles from my favorite brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Prana, Sorel, etc.

What I Am Wearing:
This fuzzy Patagonia vest is a MUST HAVE and I am not sure why I haven’t ordered one of these sooner. It was so soft and perfect for this Fall weather. It comes in multiple colors but this camel/brown has been a love of mine lately.
I paired it with this super cute Patagonia pom beanie, my favorite Fjallaraven backpack, and my third pair of Prana leggings (I cannot get enough!!)
Lastly, these Sorel wedge booties are an obsession! I love them so much! They are comfortable, sturdy (even walking through the rocks), and so dang cute! I need every color, but will stick to this cognac and grey for now. They will go with so much this fall.

I highly suggest finding your own trail within 30 minutes of where you live. Do you have the All Trails app? It will find easy to difficult trails to hike in your area. Even if you just walk around the trailhead or have a quick picnic, you won’t regret getting outside. It is so good for the soul.
Everyone is asking if we plan on moving back to Texas any time soon and the answer is no. Miller is thriving here all because she gets outside every day! You could do the same by just getting lost on a trail nearby!
