Hopefully you guys are all caught up on WEEK 1 and WEEK 2! If not, click on the one you haven’t read before reading this post!

FRIDAY:

On Friday we moved from Ka’anapali Beach Club, Lahaina, to Kamaole Sands, Kihei. Basically from West Maui to South Maui. Those are the two big tourists spots and we wanted to give both a try while we are here! I will let you know which one we like best at the end of our trip.

We spent the entire day exploring the area. There is so much that we can walk to from our condo! We were pretty tired so we took the day to rest up.

SATURDAY:

On Saturday we explored Wailea. We started with the Shops at Wailea. It is such a cute shopping center with some really great shops (I got a few tops from Banana Republic for 40% off!) See their full directory HERE.

Then we drove down to Secret Beach and Makena Beach to see what they were all about. Both are stunning!

Then we went back to Shops at Wailea and took advantage of the happy hour special at Cheeseburger Island Style! The food and drinks were just OK.

SUNDAY:

We spent Sunday morning at the beach across from our condo- Kamaole Sands Beach! There was a massive sea turtle swimming right by the shore! We all had to make sure we were so far away from it while swimming since that are protected! Going up to a turtle here could result in a $10,000 fine!

After we were nice and burnt we drove into town to trade out our mustang for a Jeep and to pick up some things we needed to prepare for our guests! We loved having the Mustang but it was hard to maneuver the luggage and my sister is 7 months pregnant so it would have been hard for her to get in and out of.

Luggage was something we definitely didn’t consider when we rented the car! Make sure to consider how many people will be in the car with all of their luggage when you leave the airport.

MONDAY:

On Monday we went for a pretty hard run (got up to 4.13 miles) and then spent a couple hours at the beach again!

In the afternoon we went to pick up my sister and brother-in-law from the airport! They will be here for 10 days!!

We got dressed up and walked to Fred’s for dinner. I have definitely had better Mexican Food (I mean, I live in Texas!!) It was still fun and we got to sit on the patio and watch the sunset with some margaritas! They have a Taco Tuesday special that you guys should try! Make sure to get there early. I heard it is a lot of fun on Tuesdays so it draws a big crowd!

TUESDAY

Road to Hana:

I will be doing a post tomorrow all about the Road to Hana. It is just too long to add to this post! I will break down stop by stop and give you some tips to get you through the day!

WEDNESDAY:

We were so pooped on Wednesday, but Adria and Colt were ready to get to the beach!

We started at Secret Beach and it was just way too hot. There wasn’t a breeze at all. Plus, Colt and Troy wanted to be able to swim and snorkle and it is kind of difficult to do on that beach. Troy and I said it would have been perfect for just the two of us! Super secluded and romantic!

Then we moved to Big Beach (Makena Beach) and loved it so much! We are probably going to go back there every time now. It is gorgeous, there are tons of fish to see, and we even saw another sea turtle! Plus the whale watching was out of this world! Bring binoculars with you!

THURSDAY:

After another hard run (4.55 miles) we got dressed up and headed to lunch at Four Seasons. It was delicious! Troy and I are going to go back next week with his parents for dinner!

Then we changed and spent the rest of the day at Wailea Beach (the beach right next to Four Seasons!) It is super pretty but the snorkeling was horrible- nothing to see- and it was a suuuuper hot day! Actually, the boys did see a puffer fish and Colt actually touched it’s tail. Later we read that it is the second most dangerous species in the entire world.

We then HAD TO have Ululanis Shaved Ice again (the best on the island) and then had spaghetti for dinner here at the house!

We went to the Big Island (Hawaii) this past weekend and did some pretty incredible excursions there so make sure to keep up on Instagram, Instagram Stories, and head back here for my week 4 re-cap!
