If you are planning a trip to Switzerland, make sure to read Part 1 of this series first! So many helpful tips we learned on our first few days in this beautiful country.

This will be a little short and I am planning on coming back later on to add on to it. We went to bed around 1am Saturday night, had to be up at 7:30am and then I am still on the airplane at 12:45am Italy time. I will land in Dallas around 7 pm, after I have been awake for 19 hours straight! I loveeee to travel, but the getting there and back part isn’t very fun :/.

Switzerland Itinerary – Part 2

Day 4: Lausanne, Switzerland

We left Bern on Day 4 and headed to Lausanne (Losanna). Such a fun town! We immediately had something to eat and hopped on the train to Grandvaux, which was a quick 15 min train ride. It was late in the day so we didn’t have time to visit Montreux or Vevey like we originally intended. We just wanted to see some vineyards and drink some wine!

Grandvaux was a ghost town, but so beautiful. The train drops you off on the top of the hill and you walk down into town. Since Grandvaux was empty, we kept walking into Cully. We ended up finding this amazing hotel along Lac Leman (Lake Geneva) and sat at a table there outside for around five hours. The hotel is called Au Major Davel! We never wanted to leave! I definitely recommend the trip if you have the time. Such an amazing walk, all downhill, and then the tram picks you up at the bottom of the hill and takes you back to Lausanne.

We explored the city of Lausanne that night and the next morning. The metro just goes in one straight line so it is very easy to use! Such a pretty city and so many sites to see without having to walk too far. I took this photo in front of a hotel along the lake that resembles a castle! This beautiful lace slip comes in three colors and is perfect to use when you want to lengthen your dress or skirt.

Day 5: Geneva, Switzerland

Geneva was amazing, but I don’t think it has as much character as all of the other cities we visited. The weather was gorgeous though, so we spent most of our time there sitting outside along the lake. We also visited the United Nations which was pretty surreal! If you only have a limited amount of time in Switzerland and want to see a bigger city, I would recommend Bern or Zurich before Geneva!

The sunsets were beautiful along the lake. Definitely bring a jacket no matter what time of year it is. Whenever we were next to the lake we were really cold!

Day 6: Annecy, France

Blue Dress (sold out, but this print comes in a maxi, a top, shorts, etc. Grab them here) I White Phone Crossbody I White Sandals

Annecy was my second favorite part of the trip. So gorgeous. We took a half-day tour guided trip from Geneva to Annecy. It was nice walking around town and hearing the history. You also get a couple of hours to yourself after the tour to eat and/or explore the town on your own.

It is very Venice-like but the water is much more beautiful (crystal clear!) I would definitely recommend doing this tour or even spending the entire day there if you are in Geneva and have the time. We are soooo happy we did it! In the summertime they do a lot of water sports on the lake as well as paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. Our tour guide says he usually swims there in his free time.

Day 7: Milan, Italy

We only had one day in Milan and we were exhausted from an early morning train ride. It is four hours from Geneva to Milan. We visited the Duomo, which is probably the most beautiful piece of architecture I have ever seen. We didn’t stray far from it since we didn’t have a lot of time. We mostly just walked around and did some shopping. I grabbed my wedding shoes while I was there and bought a couple of other things that I can’t wait to show you!

All in all it was such an amazing trip and I would recommend it for everyone!!! If you haven’t seen Switzerland, Como, or the Alps, definitely go off of this itinerary.
