So in case you didn’t know, I am Amanda Miller, the proud owner of The Miller Affect. Sometimes I just want to do a post for you guys to get to know me better and vice-versa! I would love to know more about you. When I studied ideal audience types I read, “your ideal readers are someone who you would want to grab a cup of coffee with”. Hey, it’s Wednesday, so let’s toast to champagne instead!

You may not want to hear about my life right now, but I definitely want to hear about yours, so please leave a comment below introducing yourself! If you have a blog please link to it or if you want a follow on Instagram you can link to that too!
So what is life like as Amanda Miller?
MY JOB (and I do not mean Blogging). I have a full-time job as a Treasury Analyst at a huge oil & gas company called Energy Transfer. I just started my blog, so it will be a long time before I can do this full-time (but that is the dream). I am charge of releasing all of our payments out to ALL of our customers. We recently went through a huge merger and we have had to take on a lot of new responsibilities until we get some more people hired. For me, this means stress and anxiety from 8:30-5 every day. I basically cannot look up from my computer unless it is lunch time.
MY SECOND JOB: I am basically on my computer 12 hours a day. Yes, it is sad, but I am new blogger and I want to create something great!! It is hard but super rewarding when I get messages from you guys letting me you know like my stuff. Pure Bliss! I also get to work with some great companies and go to some amazing events. I have three events tonight, but may only get to go to one! Tomorrow I get to go meet tons of other Dallas Bloggers at a little happy hour. Work hard, play hard!
Here is a great blogging schedule I go by for any of you that also has a full-time job:
Morning- Post on Instagram, share my blog post on Google+, use Stumbleupon to share my latest post, head to all of the link-ups to link my blog (full-list coming soon), and post in my FB group- Instastyle Society.
Noon: Post on Instagram, share my post on FB, comment on other blog’s and engage on social media.
Evening: Instagram, answer emails, set up my blog post for the next day, work on different things for my website, set up my pins to be released the following day
WHEW, it is A LOT. But having this schedule keeps me from getting overwhelmed!
LIFE: As stated in my Multi-Tasking and Spring Cleaning posts, it is important to get organized. I definitely make time for friends and family, but it isn’t as much as I would like. I usually only see my boyfriend on the weekends (for a pic of us, follow @themilleraffect on Instagram). He is amazing, sooo handsome, and so so supportive. As for friends, most of my friends have birthdays around this time, one of my best friends just announced she is pregnant, and my other best friends are all getting married this year. I usually have something every weekend to go to for these kind of events. My family and I are SUPER CLOSE. My sisters are my two best friends. My older sister and her husband are both in seminary school and are about to start fostering (they have their last home visit soon)! She is my photographer so I get to see her and my brother-in-law pretty often. My younger sister and her husband live in DC so I never see them :(. She is studying for her MCAT and he is about to start school for website development (yay for me, right?) My parents travel all of the time and play tennis when they aren’t traveling (hard life, right). Currently they are cruising around the Mediterranean.
I hope you can share some every day struggles or some great things happening in your life below! If you have any questions for me, review my FAQ, or ask me in a comment :). xoxo A

Hi Amanda!! (I swear I’m not creepy! 😉
Thanks for the encouragement! I’m planning on relocating by end of 2017! May I ask why you wish you lived in Northern Cali!?
Hello!
I just found your blog by looking into the Instastyle Society on Facebook. I emailed Katey and Betsy at Two Peas in a Blog asking about how they network with other bloggers and they suggested FB groups. Anyway, I went down the FB rabbit hole and found your blog and it is so helpful! I only started my blog about a month ago, so it is so helpful to see your How To posts.
Thanks!
Bridget
Love this post and absolutely love that you see all this as a community and not a competition. I am a stay at home mum and my full time job has become my littles (10 months, 29 months, and preggo with #3 (17 weeks), so I figured getting dolled up with some what a purpose like blogging it would be just a wonderful way of having something on the side to do outside of being a mum and wife.
Hope to connect! @boosracic is my IG. Just signed up for rewardstyle after reading your helpful post. Thank you again for the helpful tips!
Xoxo, Boo
Thank you so much for leaving a comment! You don’t know how much that means to me! Good Luck with Reward Style!!! xoxo A

You’re a total rock star, aren’t you? I’m a new follower, I think via one of the instagram loop giveaways over the holidays. Did you know (I’m sure you did) that there is a Houston band called TheMillerEffect? Funny stuff you find when you type in a website incorrectly…
