Here we go for week 4! This is the week that we took a quick trip to the big island of Hawaii!

MAUI RECAP WEEK 4:
FRIDAY
Black Wrap Tank I Cut Off Denim Shorts I Gucci Sandals I Beach Clutch I Panama Hat
My Maui recap week 4 starts on a Friday. We took my sister and brother-in-law to Lahaina. It really is our favorite town here in Maui. We already agreed that we will try to find a house here if we come back!
We wanted Colt and Adria to see the town as well. We took them to see the Banyan Tree, the cute shops, and ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise (Colt was craving burgers).

After lunch and a bit of walking around we went to Whaler’s Village to make sure they got a taste of Monkeypod! We prefer the Monkeypod in Whaler’s Village over the one in Wailea just because of the beach front location. Fav things to eat: Potstickers, Ahi Tuna Steak, Strawberry Pie (maybe best pie IN THE WORLD!)
SATURDAY
Cuddl Duds Jogger Pants I Grey Cuddl Duds Cardi I Pink Sneakers I Beige Camisole
On Saturday we headed to the big island of Hawaii. I booked the flight on Expedia and got the Mokulele Airlines tickets because it was the least expensive. Little did I know that was inexpensive because it is a teeny tiny place that holds about 10 people total (including pilot and co-pilot!) I was scared to death! The ride there was completely smooth and I had no idea why I was so worried. (Make sure to read Monday’s recap about the ride back eeek!)
We really had nothing planned for Kona, HI. We just knew we wanted to do a Manta Ray night snorkel (apparently one of the top things you can do in your life), a helicopter ride to see the lava, and we wanted to make a trip to Green Sand Beach.

On Saturday we just walked around Kona and went to the Kona Inn Restaurant. You MUST GET THE MUD PIE THERE!! It is amazing! Then we went to Kona Brewery for a couple of beers before calling it a night.
We stayed at Royal Kona and DID NOT like it. But there aren’t many places to choose from in Kona and you kind of get what you pay for. We thought Royal Kona was pretty gross though :/.
We had a Manta Ray excursion scheduled but it was cancelled due to the swells in the ocean. We were so bummed but rescheduled for the next night.
SUNDAY
See all the videos/photos on Instagram HERE.
On Sunday morning we got up suuuuper early and went on a Helicopter Tour with Blue Hawaiian. It was pretty cool guys. I was MUCH LESS scared in the helicopter than I was in the tiny plane! It was so smooth and the view in every seat was so great. We got to see some of the active lava flowing on the island and got to go through some valleys with massive waterfalls. We thought we were at Jurassic Park for sure!
I will probably do helicopter tours whenever I can now. Definitely already thinking about a Grand Canyon trip!

When we got back we took a quick nap and headed out to watch the SuperBowl. So torn on who I was going for. I wanted a new champion butttt as a Cowboys fan it was impossible to cheer for the Eagles. I am glad they made a game out of it though and I thought the half time show was amazing!
What was your favorite commercial? We were in a bar so it was hard to hear but our favorite was the Dirty Dancing NFL commercial with Eli Manning and Odell Beckham!
On Sunday night our Manta Ray excursion was cancelled AGAIN! SOOOOOOO sad! We ended up grabbing dinner at Huggos, which was so amazing. The ambiance and food were incredible. Definitely recommend it! The waves crash underneath you as you eat and it is open air so you can just smell the ocean the entire time.
MONDAY
White Romper I Miller Sandals I Diet Dr Pepper COUPON HERE
We planned on getting up super early on Monday to go hike to the Green Sand Beach on Hawaii. When we woke up we realized we just wouldn’t have enough time to make it out there and back in time to make our flight.
So we didn’t get to do Green Sand Beach or Manta Rays. Guess we will just have to go back to Kona soon!
Crop Sports Bra I Green Shorts I Black Tennis Shoes
We hiked a bit in some lava rock. The entire island of Hawaii is FULL of lava rock. It is pretty creepy actually!
We got back on the tiny plane and ended up flying into a storm. Scariest plane ride of my life guys and I will NEVER get back on one of those tiny planes again (if I can help it!)
TUESDAY
Kopari Deodorant BLOG POST HERE
On Tuesday morning we took it easy and headed to the beach. There are so many great beaches in Wailea! Pretty much every beach you can go to is equally amazing! Troy and Colt snorkeled on every beach in Wailea! There is always so much to see.

On Tuesday night we went back to Lahaina for the Feast of Lele Luau with my sis and brother-in-law. Unfortunately it started raining and they called the luau off. My sis was so bummed because they have never been to a luau! I will share tips for this in my ‘Best of Maui’ post!
We ended up going back to Star Noodle and had a great dinner! The ride back to Kihei from Lahaina is pretty rough. It is a little over an hour there and about an hour back!
WEDNESDAY
Striped Isabella Rose Swimsuit I Pink Sunglasses
Another beach day! This was Adria and Colt’s last day and Troy’s parents actually flew in to Maui that morning. We spent the entire day on Makena beach.

Adria and Colt picked The Mill House for their last dinner in Maui. I wish we had found that plantation sooner. It is so stunning there and the food is amazing! Definitely put it on your list of places to eat if you can!

Did you enter this LOUIS VUITTON WALLET GIVEAWAY?
We took Thursday off! Seriously though, we just hung around the house, went grocery shopping, cleaned, and did a little shopping at Shops at Wailea. We were pooped!
