Before reading this post, make sure you are caught up on my Hawaii Vacation Recap Week 1, 2, 3, and 4! They list everything we did and everywhere we ate during our first month here in Hawaii (includes West Maui and Kona).
*I know I am only touching the surface on some of these activities and vrbo reviews. When I get home from Hawaii I will have separate blog posts for where we ate, what activities we did, Maui vs Big Island, West Maui vs South Maui, and so much more!
Hawaii Vacation – Week 5
MAUI
Monday
On Monday we went to Secret Beach! Maui is getting PACKED and this seems to be the only beach that stays pretty quiet! So many of you have messaged me saying you either got married there or you took wedding photos there! It is such a beautiful beach.
I wore this tie-dye two-piece swimsuit. I LOVE IT! One of my favorites from the trip for sure. The bottom has ruching which makes it super flattering.

We had dinner at the Mill House. We LOVE it there! I think it has the most beautiful view in Maui and they make everything from the land there! It used to be an old sugar plantation and it is in a valley so you have an amazing view of the mountains. There are shops there so make sure you go early so that you have time to look around. I also recommend going when it is light out so you can appreciate everything around you!

Tuesday
Troy and Megan were both sick with the Norovirus on Tuesday. I had to leave them midday to pick up my parents from the airport. We went to the grocery store and cooked at home that night.
Wednesday
ROAD TO HANA
Check out THIS POST with my favorite things to do on the Road to Hana!
Since this was my fourth time, I hired a tour guide (Troy and Miller stayed home!)
I loved having a tour guide and not having to worry about the crazy windy, narrow road. He picked us up in a minivan and the tour was 10-11 hours for around $1100.
Demian, our guide, has lived in Maui for nearly 20 years. He took us to some of my favorite spots ++ he took us to some secret local spots I didn’t know about. We actually got to swim in a mineral cave. It was FREEZING, but it was an incredible experience. I am going to keep the location off here so that it can be left undiscovered. If you hire a tour guide when you go just tell them you want to swim in the mineral caves!
We stopped at a couple of waterfalls I hadn’t seen, a local black sand beach, a lava tube, and a local spot to have lunch. It was such a fun day! I highly recommend getting a guide (and getting one for at least 10-11 hours to do Hana right!!)
You can CLICK HERE to give your tour guide some ideas for what you want to see (or if you want to drive Road to Hana yourself!)

Thursday
Thursday was Megan’s last day so we did what she wanted to do! We went back to Shops at Wailea first so that she could return something she bought that didn’t end up fitting right. I took advantage of the trip to find myself a new Gucci bag! How cute is this one?! Gucci bags are 25% off the regular price here in Hawaii!
My friend Jaime started a new collection with 1.State!! She will be rolling out items every month this year. This cozy cardigan was one of her first pieces and I am so proud of her because it is phenomenal! I have been putting it on every night over my pjs because it is so dang soft!

We had lunch at Monkeypod (another one of Megan’s wishes) and then spent the rest of the afternoon in Paia! I love that town! It has a huge surfer vibe to it and it has the cutest shops!
I wore this gingham dress from Amazon! The #1 item from last week (according to clicks and sales!) It comes in a bunch of different prints and colors, but this gingham is so perfect for Spring.

Friday
On Friday morning Troy and I had to shoot for one of my campaigns. It is tough finding places here to shoot because of how bright the sun is during the day (you never want to shoot in direct sunlight!) We ended up finding a spot at the Fairmont- what a beautiful hotel!
Once we got back we headed to the beach with the family. I wore this sexy crochet two piece and cover up!

For dinner we went to Maui Brewing Co. Such a good vibe and atmosphere, great beers, not so great food. I would recommend just going for the apps and beer and having dinner at home or somewhere else! They have yard games outside (cornhole, jenga, connect four, and so much more!)
I wore this gorgeus Amazon off the shoulder dress. It comes in a few different colors and would be great for your next vacation.

Saturday
My mom got the Norovirus on Friday night, so Saturday was pretty calm. We took Miller to the pool for the first time and OMG she loved it. There were little kids there that played with her the entire time. We had to go back in when it started raining but we will defintiely be doing that again! So much easier than all the sand!
Once Miller was down for a nap Troy and I went out to the beach.
For dinner, Troy and I got to have a date night. We went to Humuhumu at The Grand Wailea. Again, the ambiance and location were FANTASTIC, but I definitely wouldn’t go back there with those prices. You have to pay $40-60 for an entree and the food wasn’t THAT GOOD! Go for a drink just to see it, but we don’t think the $$$$ was worth it!
I wore this beautiful eyelet dress from Amazon- only $31! I think it may end up being one of my top products of 2020 (yes, I am calling it THAT EARLY!!) Once you get it in the white you will turn around and buy it in the light pink too!

Sunday
There was a large Tiger Shark sighting in the water so we decided to explore the coastline rather than hit the beach. My mom was also still feeling a little sick. We drove up and down Makena Beach and explored the area and showed them all of the different beaches there! Such a beautiful part of the island.
I wore this super soft beach set from Free People. It is light, but fleece lined so it will keep you warm on the cooler Spring/Summer nights! It is definitely chilly here in Maui in the mornings so I was grateful for it.
For dinner, we went to Mama’s Fish House again! We told my parents we could skip it, but they insisted we go. I had the stuffed fish again and Troy had the curry- both are soooo amazing. My mom shared off our plates and my dad got the beef tenderloin (also really great option if you don’t like fish!)
I wore this stunning maxi from Sundress! I love that brand so much! It is one size fits all and I believe that! It would look great on anyone.

Girl I got the Norovirus too a few days into our trip and ended up in the ER for several hours! It was scary, it’s some nasty stuff. Glad you all got better and sounds like week 5 was pretty epic 😊
