Before reading this post, make sure you are caught up on my Hawaii Vacation Recap Week 1, 2, 3, and 4, and 5! They list everything we did and everywhere we ate during our first month here in Hawaii (includes West Maui and Kona).
*I know I am only touching the surface on some of these activities and vrbo reviews. When I get home from Hawaii I will have separate blog posts for where we ate, what activities we did, Maui vs Big Island, West Maui vs South Maui, and so much more!
Hawaii Vacation Week 6
MAUI
Monday
It rained most of the day, but I didn’t mind. On days like this I can finally sit down at my computer and knock out tons of work instead of having serious fomo while everyone else is outside!
For dinner, we met some of my dad’s college friends at The Mill House. It was just a coincidence that we were all in Maui at the same time, and it was so good to catch up with them! The rain cleared just in time for dinner so Miller got to chase all of the ducks again. If you haven’t been to The Miller House yet, it is a MUST! Add it to your list of top places to eat. It is farm to table and everything is so fresh and delicious. The grounds are amazing and you can actually take a tour through this old sugar plantation.
Miller and I both wore Lilly Pulitzer. These items are sold out now, but we linked similar items for you below.

Tuesday
On Tuesday we explored Upcountry for the first time. This is the area around Haleakala. It was about 38 minutes from our condo in Kihei to the first stop, the Hali’imaile General Store. It was sooooo worth the drive. One of the best meals I have had on the island (we got the crab cake pizza for an app and I got the fried chicken sandwich for lunch. Best chicken sandwich I have ever had!
Along the way to the General Store is the Oceans Vodka distillery (which I heard is amazing) and the Surfing Goat Dairy Farm. Apparently there you can pet the goats and eat a bunch of different cheeses. Since we had Miller, we didn’t have time to stop by any of these.
Right across the street from lunch was the Maui Gold Pineapple Fields. You can do a tour here or just grab some pineapples (which we did!)
After lunch we went to the town of Makawao and did some shopping! It is a very cute town with some great shops, but they were a little too pricey for me! I did grab one shirt for me and one outfit for Miller.
We ate in that night!

Wednesday
I am afraid the rest of our trip was rather boring after this. Mostly beach time, shopping, more food, and just a couple more trips out! On Wednesday we spent most of the day on the beach and went to dinner at Monkeypod again!

Thursday
Thursday was about the same. We went for our usual walk in the morning, spent some time out on the beach, and then went out for dinner. We went to a Mexican food place that was pretty gross. I honestly cannot even remember the name, but then stopped at Ululani’s for dessert! I am missing their shaved ice!

Friday
Friday was Valentine’s Day! I took this sweet picture with Miller in the morning and thought you guys may want a mommy & me outfit too so I linked these below.
I made sure to wear red or pink for the rest of the day! How cute is this PilyQ swimsuit!?
For dinner Troy and I had a date night at Sansei – the best sushi on the island (in my opinion!) I wore this gorgeous dress from Sundress- now on sale!
Saturday
On Saturday went back to visit more of Upcountry.First stop was for crepes at La Provence. They were amazing!

Then we spent the rest of the afternoon at Maui Wine. I highly recommend making a stop there during your trip! All of the wines were great, but you have to try the Syrah if they have it. One of the best glasses of wine I have had!

Sunday
We spent the morning Sunday out at the pool. Miller preferred the pool much more than the beach and it was easier watching her there for sure. She was content just floating around all day in the water.

For dinner we had fish tacos from Coconut’s Fish Cafe. They were very good and you should definitely check it out if you 1. like fish tacos and 2. are looking for a more casual place to eat that won’t cost you a fortune.

Monday
I can’t remember what we did all day but if I had to guess I would say we went to the beach, haha! For dinner we went to Tommy Bahama’s restaurant. They have one here in Plano, but I wanted to take my parents in Hawaii so that they could try it. It is soooooo good guys. It is definitely a chain, but one of the best chains! Miller had the mac n cheese and she devoured it. We all had something different and we all loved what we ordered. Make sure you get a couple of orders of the coconut shrimp (they are known for them!)

Tuesday
On Tuesday we headed to Leoda’s Pie Shop for lunch. I had never been there and wanted to check it off the list this trip. YALL- IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! Adding it to my top recommended places to go for sure! After lunch we headed to Lahaina to show my parents around. We walked up and down, did a little shopping, and then went back home for the night.

That night Troy and I went out for one more date night at Monkeypod. Yall- we cannot get enough of that place, can you tell? Sometimes we just go early for tons of apps and mai tais!

Thursday
Thursday was a very long day since we had to be out of our condo at 11am. We let Miller nap until the housekeeper knocked at the door right at 11. We then took her to the pool until her second nap. We washed her with their showers and put her in dry clothes and into the car. From there we drove to the North Shore to watch the surfers while she napped. She only napped about 45 minutes. When she woke up we all went for shaved ice at Ululani’s by the airport, and then I found a place where she would play while we waited for our flight. It was called the Keiki Playhouse. She had a blast! Our flight was at 9pm that night and Miller slept the entire flight!
Comments
Well & weeks at one place can be slightly monotonous but i guess you have beaten the monotony hands down. Your blog has given me majo vacation goals and yeah at times it can get boring, but hey you can’t keep it interesting all the time.
Great re-cap!
