Probably should have done this on Wednesday.. but we will just call this Work Wear Thursday! Has a ring to it… right?!
Ann Taylor came out with a new line called ‘Luxewear’ so of course I ran to the mall to grab it asap!
Stirrup Leggings
Ever since I saw these plaid stirrup leggings I had to have them. So glad Ann Taylor carries Longs because the straps on the Regular would have probably pulled my pants down!
These can definitely be worn to work and I paired it with a long sleeveless tunic sweater so that they would cover my booty (aka make them even more work appropriate!)
I am now seeing stirrup leggings everywhere! Here are some of my other favorites:
I know they would also look amazing with any type of boot or bootie, but if you read THIS POST, you know why and how much I love my flats! These black ballet flats are so insanely comfortable and great to wear for work or play. I own them now in gold, pink velvet, and black. You can see how I styled the pink velvet HERE, and see how I styled the gold pair HERE!
Grab this side tie tunic sweater asap and get it in a size up! I love the mock neck and the length! You can wear it with any of your leggings but it will also look great with jeans (skinny or flares.) You will want to wear a black or white cami under it for work because a little skin show when you raise your arms!
Check out the rest of the Luxewear collection below. Ann Taylor basically figured out how to elevate work wear in the BEST, most chic way possible!

These stirrup leggings were real popular in the late 1980’s.
So great because they don’t have to be stretch fabric ! They are the best thing for boots and booties ! Hopefully this time around they will become staples and not disappear!

I just love the stirrup leggings. I wore these as a kid all the time. Don’t you love it when styles come back ? So nostalgic and cute. I’m a bit of a clothes hoarder which has worked in my favour a couple of times. Hehe. I found these red suede chunky heels from the 90s that are now right on trend and in perfect condition. And a dark green suede vest that’s no joke from 89 that is right on trend again. I can’t believe this stuff has been around for over 27 years. It’s how I justify not getting rid of clothes. Lol.
Some of your links are missing. I would love to read the one about why you like flats and the others about other colors styled.
Thanks for letting me know! Just added the links! xoxo Amanda
