What are you most excited about this year? For me, aside for meeting our baby boy, I am SO EXCITED for the holidays!

Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions are engrained in me from my childhood and I am so happy to be celebrating them with my own little family this year.

Holiday Plaid Family Photos with Janie & Jack

We always try to take a family photo every year. This year, I will be dressing Miller and our new baby in holiday plaid from Janie & Jack for those photos. I am completely obsessed with Janie & Jack’s new holiday collection. I had a smile on my face the entire time as I was shopping for the kids. I had a hard time picking out the outfits because everything is just so classic and beautiful.

How beautiful is this white pavilion? You couldn’t go wrong with doing your family photos with this elegant backdrop. We knew Miller would be so distracted with everything around her here, so we brought a present along for her to open. If you always have a hard time getting your kids to pay attention to the camera, a present works nicely! You get to capture enthusiasm and smiles and sometimes it works as a great bargaining chip- “smile here and then you can open a present I brought!”

Family Photos at Lookout Mountain

Lookout Mountain in Golden has a few great spots for family photos. You can sit on the rocks there and have the mountains behind you or you can go into the forest for some beautiful evergreens. To distract Miller we handed her some of her favorite things: rocks and pinecones, haha!
